What a wonderful story. How lucky those of us are to have such fond memories of a parent. There are so many who do not. You can clearly see the resemblence in your pictures.

Lovely piece Jude! Thanks for sharing. Your dad was a great man and I know you miss him. We were so lucky to grow up in a place where all the dads were present and involved with their kids. Because of your dad (and mom) you are a wonderful mother and friend as well. Also- great of pic you!

What a beautifully written article about you & your father.

My father was not in my life for very long. He was only 49 when he passed & I was only 13 yrs. old at the time. Those few years that he was in my life meant more to me than life itself at the present time. His stature was small, but what a large man he was… He was kind, generous, giving, & always fun to be with. He was the glue that held our families together!! I miss him so, sometimes it’s hard to breathe… Thank G-d I have my memories, but how sad I am that my children never got to have him as a grandfather…

I really enjoyed reading your story about your father, Judy. It touched me in a way that can only be attributed to the love you felt for him. Oh, and thanks for the Louis Armstrong clip…totally enjoyed HIM too!
